The election is over and thanks in no small part to you, we were able to achieve a resounding victory in addition to maintaining our slim, one seat Democratic majority in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. I thank all of you who have worked tirelessly on our campaign. Truthfully, I could not have done this without you. Your dedication and efforts have allowed us to continue our shared vision of Government working for everyone in our community.
Although many of us are disappointed in the outcome of the Presidential election, myself included, we must take stock in the fact that our election was a free and fair one without significant interference or turmoil. Our Democratic process worked as I pray it will continue to do so for generations to come. And although some of us are dismayed at having to concede a loss we, as Vice President Harris stated, do not concede the continued fight for our Democracy and the Republic for which it stands. As my Irish grandmother would say, "The glory is in the struggle, and the struggle goes on".
In closing, I want to say that representing the good folks of the 156th District has been the greatest privilege and honor of my professional career. I am extremely thankful for your trust and support across party lines, keeping in mind what binds us together as neighbors will always be more lasting and stronger than any outside influences. With a profound gratitude, I look forward to continuing to work hard here at home and in Harrisburg for all of you. In the meantime, stay well, stay safe, and stay strong.
